The Collegiate Sports Medicine Foundation (CSMF) is an organization dedicated to improving the day to day of the collegiate athletic trainer. Through CEU programs, discussion groups, a resource rich web site and partnerships with leading companies CSMF strives to enhance campus sports medicine programs.
Our mission
The Collegiate Sports Medicine Foundation works to raise the standard of care for the student-athlete by helping college and university sports medicine programs share what works. Through continuing-education programs, discussion groups, regional meetings and a resource-rich library of policies, position statements and sample documents, the Foundation connects athletic trainers, team physicians and administrators across every division and conference.
A network of Centers and Divisions
The Foundation's work is organized into Centers, each focused on a core area of collegiate sports medicine, from concussion assessment and catastrophic-injury prevention to insurance and cost-containment, preparticipation exams, nutrition and drug testing, and environmental policy. Within those Centers, topic Divisions gather the specific policies, journal articles and sample forms that member programs rely on day to day.
