Hello Colleagues!

This email is to inform you of a research study that I am conducting through Virginia Tech about MRSA related policy and prevention efforts.  This study is intended to determine a connection between the perception of certified Athletic Trainers concerning MRSA, its current impact on University level Athletic Training and the resulting policy development process for prevention.  We intend to use this information to develop a plan for standardized care and make recommendations for a decrease in the prevalence of MRSA in athletics on the University level.

Participants for this study we encourage to respond with participation of the online survey include: ATC’s working in a primarily clinical position on the Collegiate level.  Direct experience with MRSA is not required for participation.  The process should involve no more than 10 minutes for completion and all information provided will remain confidential.  No personally identifying information will be requested.  We will accept your completion of the survey as your consent to participate in this Virginia Tech sponsored research study.

Any questions or concerns can be directed to Megan Rittler, ATC at meganr@vt.edu.  Thank you! We look forward to your participation!
